A familiar sight to anyone peering through a Smith's splicer! This photograph from Bob Smith clearly shows the video tracks (middle), audio track (top) control track and cue track (bottom - time code, I assume) . If you hover over various parts of the image you will find hotspots which will take you to a better enlargement. Quad was, of course, replaced by C format - 1" tape - which looked completely different!
