| This plan was virtually identical to that used four years earlier in Los Angeles. The major change was the replacement of Ampex VPR2Bs by Sony Beta SP machines. The Multiformat Area now contained Beta SP, MII, U-Matic and a BVH3100 C format machine. The area was once more upstairs in the International Broadcast Centre, this time on Youido Island in the Han River. The main hotel was the brand new "Lotte World" in Chamsil, a good fifteen to twenty minute drive away in one of our minibuses, known generically as "Bongos" (See Seoul Gallery). Midway was the Olympic Park with the main Olympic Stadium. |
