February 19, 2006 - 01:35 PM Nigel Phillips - BBC from 1960 to 2002 and on and off to date! Currently Ops Manager with the EBU Ops Group in Torino Winter Olympics. I believe that the very solid metal VERA base plates were re-used by Research Dept as the baseplate for the first RD Optical Standards convertor with flicker correction for 525/405 working. These used CPS Emitron tubed cameras. IP : 81.155.89.187

February 24, 2006 - 01:47 PM Dave Wakefield - Whilst I was never fortunate enough to have spent any time at the Beeb I did work for 'The Enemy' in VT & Tech Ops for Thames at Euston & am now an editor in West London.
